EGX
During our trip to EGX we decided to meet up with a few game developers to ask questions.Andy Griffiths, the quality assurance tester from Freejam said that he never went to college, became a games tester around 16 and then did contract work for 4.5 years then he moved to a VR based games company for 6 months then moved to Freejam. He also said that he was inspired by the CEO and that cardlife was actually a side project on a 3D modeling program. His future plans is to stay as a QA tester at Freejam.
His favourite game he has ever worked on is Little Big Planet 3 because there was so much to mess around with and try to break during QA testing. Andy Griffiths Also said that Cardlife uses the Unity game engine.
Callum Hancock, the creator of Mice on Venus said that he got a triple distinction in computer science and his boss worked on the script for fable 2 and his boss (bosses boss) worked on God of War 3. He has used many technologies in his games such as antialiasing and Nvidia Ansel.He has also worked on famous games in the past such as Starcraft and his own. Callum Hancock was inspired by events such as EGX and wants people to enjoy his games. His future plans are to release games, make a bit of money and for people to enjoy his creations.
